Housing Koi temporarilyCan we house Koi for customers temporarily?Nope! In most cases we get requests that run along the lines of :
The best way to solve this is to get yourself a quarantine facility of your own that is mobile as follows: All you need is a 2m porta pond, a Dragn Fli or similar submersible pump and an 'All in One' Bio filter with a UV, which we can also supply you with. Plug it all in, add the fish and do water changes once a week. Works like a bomb. When done, take the bio media out of the 'All in One' and stick it in onion bags and chuck it into main filter system to keep it alive. When you get new babies for the pond, or you need to medicate/isolate one of the pond fish for whatever reason, all you do is plug the media back into the filter and fill it with some pond water from the main pond, and away you go perfect quarantine facility for your fishies. And to have something like this on hand as and when you need it is marvellous - trust us! Total cost depends on the size Porta Pond you want to go for. We have three combinations that work really well:
You then have a quarantine facility for life and it will serve you and your Koi well. When you no longer need it all you do is break it down and store it in the garage (of course the bio media just goes into your filter systems).
